The TEAM VoWLAN solution turns the desktop into a pocketable virtual office, delivering cost-effective mobile access over WLAN to PBX-based telephony, PTT, email/PIM, text messaging, Internet/intranet access and the flexibility of Windows Mobile 6.1 for line of business applications. TEAM VoWLAN Solution: Key Benefits

  • Motorola’s TEAM VoWLAN Solution will deliver secure, mobile access to the six fundamental communication services workers need to stay connected to throughout the business day:

    • The unification of the PBX extension with the mobile phone, including its customary toll quality voice experience, providing workers with the simplicity of one phone number reach, one voicemail box, and the features of the desk phone — including abbreviated dialing, call forwarding, call transfer, and call waiting
    • Complete push-to-talk (PTT) services for walkie-talkie style instant communications, including private call (one-to-one), group call, and the flexibility to define up to 255 call groups (for example, for complete departments and specific teams)
    • Corporate email, calendar, address book, meeting scheduler and other personal information management (PIM) productivity enhancing applications
    • Text Messaging Services provides fast effective communications between workers within the enterprise
    • Internet and intranet access
    • Line of business applications that enable workers to access customer data records, place orders, check inventory and more

The TEAM VoWLAN solution is part of a comprehensive portfolio of communication solutions designed to meet the needs of many different types of enterprises and enterprise users – from the corner office to the shop floor, loading dock and on the road. The portfolio of TEAM solutions will include:

  • Total Enterprise Access and Mobility (TEAM) Express NEW - TEAM Express is the fast, easy, cost-effective way to enable push-to-talk communications among multiple, disparate devices, including Motorola voice-capable mobile computers and bar code scanners, and TEAM devices. Completely server-less and deployed through a simple software download and set-up, TEAM Express improves employee accessibility, responsiveness and productivity while leveraging existing IT investments. TEAM Express will also interoperate with two-way radios using the TEAM Radio Link Solution (RLS), as well as future TEAM voice solutions, further expanding your voice communications options.

  • TEAM VoWLAN Solution - This single mode solution is designed to provide mobile users inside the enterprise – either inside the four walls or throught a campus environment – with mobile access to the voice and data services typicall tethered to the desk, over the enterprise WLAN.

  • TEAM VoWLAN Common Voice Client (CVC)* - The TEAM VoWLAN CVC will extend the TEAM VoWLAN solution to additional voice capable devices, such as handheld mobile computers and bar code scanners, ensuring that workers have the right device to meet their mobility needs.

  • TEAM Dual Mode* - Designed for workers who need communications inside and outside the enterprise walls, this solution delivers mobile access to voice and data services within the enterprise over the WLAN, seamlessly extending those capabilities to the wide area cellular network when the user moves outside the enterprise/campus.

* Initial solution availability is for TEAM VoWLAN, TEAM Express is expected to be available later in Q1, 2009, with TEAM VoWLAN CVC and TEAM Dual Mode following.
